I tried some night photography earlier this winter when it was still snowy and cold. Here's a 30 sec exposure of the moon. Nightly scenes like this are one of the greatest things about winter -- prolly the only good winter thing I can come up with atm

I hope you like this one even tho I'm not too happy with it. I tried reshooting it but what are the chances of it being snowy, cloudless, windless and moony at the same time.

Last night the moon and Venus were very close, and i wish I'd had a camera.

I think it's time I invest. My sleepy town with a backdrop of reasonably big mountains would be very photogenic if not for the burnt out cars and council estates...
