Description
In my opinion, one of the hardest things to photograph are the small things in the twilight using long shutter speeds -- just little breeze of wind can make the subject move from side to side in your viewfinder. I had to wait till 4am till the wind finally calmed down. I usually have fun shooting and if I hadn't been so determined to get this picture I would have given up the whole thing. So I really hope you like it
The insect in the picture is a common hawker male (aeshna juncea).
Full view please to see the detail, but I hope that's a given
Edit: made this one available as a print.
